INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY FELLOW, August 2003-DEC 2005

CUNY: HONORS COLLEGE, NEW YORK, N.Y.

Work closely with faculty and students to integrate instructional technologies into the the Freshman and Sophomore Honors seminars; develop training materials and present resources to the college community online as well as in the classroom; and develop innovative ways of extending classroom discussion and scholarly resources through an assortment of web-based tools.

• Working within the CUNY Honor College as a technological liaison between professors and students.
• Integrating new technologies (such as multi-media presentations, website-design, weblogs, and online-research) into the fabric of four distinct Honors College seminars by assisting professors in shaping their curricula to embrace new technologies while training students how to use this technology.
• Directing workshops for students on the uses of various software for enhancing their class presentations, such as WordPress, Drupal, MediaWiki, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and I-Movie.
• Assisting students in the Honors with any technical problems they may be having with their computers (each member of the Honors College is given a MAC laptop as they enter the program).
