Advance the University’s commitment to academic excellence by helping faculty integrate teaching and learning technologies into their pedagogy, research and other professional activity. In the director capacity I have had the following duties:
- Frame a shared vision for DTLT’s ongoing commitment to innovative approaches to integrating technology into the curriculum
- Serve as supervisor for the 5 staff positions assigned to the Division.
- Oversee and track the Division’s operating budget and, in consultation with Division staff, makes budget allocation decisions
- Supervises the student employees assigned to the Division and ensures that aides are appropriately trained and deployed to projects and tasks as needed.
- Leads planning efforts as pertinent to the mission, goals, and needs of the Division.
- Provides oversight and assistance as required for planning and presentations at DTLT-hosted events
- As necessary serve on University committees, representing DTLT’s expertise in digital technology

Work closely with faculty and students to integrate instructional technologies into the the Freshman and Sophomore Honors seminars; develop training materials and present resources to the college community online as well as in the classroom; and develop innovative ways of extending classroom discussion and scholarly resources through an assortment of web-based tools.

Working with professors from diverse disciplines throughout the college to integrate writing into the course curriculum; regular discussions with faculty about issues in cross-curricula composition and rhetoric; and collaborative work with a cohort of writing fellows to share strategies and experience.
